Which fields are required for import?
Regardless of your plan, exactly 4 fields are always required: request date, customer name, product name, and order quantity. All other fields are optional — import order number, specification, unit, or notes if your workflow needs them. See the field help section on this screen for each field's definition, format, and use case.
When should I create a custom import format?
Create a custom format when the source file's column names, worksheet, header row position, or the rows you need to import don't match the SortingGo standard format. Once created, you can reuse it for files with the same layout.
What should I check first if a remote file cannot connect?
First confirm your phone and the remote host are on a network that can reach each other, then check the host address, account, password, path, and permissions. For SMB/NAS/SFTP/FTP, the source side also needs to allow the connection method the app uses.
Why can completed or canceled batches no longer be edited?
Completed or canceled means the batch has entered a wrap-up state. To keep the work record and export consistent, most of its content becomes read-only. If you need to work on it again, use the recovery option on screen, or create a new batch.
What is the difference between putting and picking?
Putting is usually product-centered — the same product is distributed to multiple customers or orders. Picking is usually customer- or order-centered — you complete each product a customer needs one item at a time. Which mode to use depends on your floor layout and work habits.
What should I do if voice prompts or voice commands do not respond?
First check the voice feature, language, and speech rate in Settings, then confirm your Android device has the matching voice or recognition model installed. Voice commands also need to be tested in Voice Control Settings, and the microphone permission needs to be granted.
What must be set up before printing labels?
If you use the Windows Print Service, enter the service URL, API key, and device name in Settings, and confirm the service already has a usable template and printer. If you use a BLE printer, complete Bluetooth scanning, permissions, command language setup, and print output mode. Use Image raster when the printer has no built-in font for the label language.
What does applying a route template overwrite?
Applying a template adjusts the display order of customers or products in the current batch. If the batch already has a manual order, the screen will warn that it may overwrite your existing adjustments — confirm whether you want to keep the manual result before applying.
Does a product short name change the original product name?
No. Product short names are mainly used to help with on-screen display and voice prompts — the original product name is still kept in the order data. When setting a short name, keep enough identifying information to avoid confusing similar products.
Why are some fields or features locked?
SortingGo unlocks different fields, import limits, printing, and voice control capabilities based on your plan. If a screen shows something locked, go to Subscription Plans to see your current plan and upgrade options; actual pricing and purchase status are governed by Google Play.
How should I handle import validation failures?
Start with the row number, field, and original value in the error details. Common causes are a blank required field, a quantity that isn't a number, a date format mismatch, or a custom format mapped to the wrong field. Fix the source file or the custom format, then import again.
Why were some rows skipped?
Rows can be skipped because of blank rows, a custom format's filter conditions, or source data that doesn't meet the import rules. Check the skipped-row count in Import Result first, then go back to the custom format preview to see if a condition is too strict.
What if I accidentally complete the wrong item?
Go back to the previous item, or find it on the current screen, and check whether its completion status can still be changed. If the batch is already completed or the screen is read-only, go to Batch Details to see whether you need to revert the batch's status or start a new workflow.
What if a product name is too long and voice playback is slow?
You can set a short name in Product short names, or create a product-name shortening rule in a custom import format. A short name improves on-screen recognition and voice prompts, while the original product name is still kept.
How do I check a Print Service connection issue?
First confirm your phone and Windows computer are on the same reachable network, the Print Service is running, the URL has the correct host and port, and the API key is correct. If you're using http, the host must be a private network address.
Why cannot I find the label template or printer?
Check the Print Service web page to confirm the template has been created, the printer has been detected by the service, and the service URL/API key in the app's settings point to the same service. If a template or printer was deleted, reload and re-select it in the app.
What if the offline voice model is unavailable?
First go to Android's offline voice download page and confirm the matching language is installed. If your device doesn't offer an offline model for that language, try online recognition instead, or change the recognition language and try again.
What if headset buttons do not follow the configured action?
Different headsets can send different button events. Re-run the button test in Voice Control Settings to confirm whether single click, double click, triple click, or long press are received correctly by your phone, then apply whichever pattern is most reliable.
Can different labels use different printers?
Yes. Create multiple print methods in System settings > Print settings. Each method can point to a server printer or a Bluetooth printer. Then choose the method for preparation, putting, putting subtotal, picking, and picking subtotal labels. After saving, the assignment applies globally.
Why can I not delete a print method?
The app blocks deletion when only one print method remains, or when the method is still referenced by any of the five label types. Reassign those labels to another method and save before deleting it.
