Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-20
Introduction
Thank you for using SortingGo. This Privacy Policy explains how this app handles your data. Please read it carefully — by continuing to use this app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data Collection
SortingGo is a local, offline-first tool. Other than information required for Google Play subscription services, this app does not actively collect, transmit, or store any personal data on developer servers.
We do not actively collect your name, email address, phone number, home address, or any other personally identifiable information. The one exception is the website newsletter, and only if you choose to subscribe to it (see section 7).
2. Local Data Storage
All data generated while you use SortingGo is stored locally on your device, including:
- Imported order data
- Batch and sorting results
- Routing sequence settings
- App settings and preferences
The developer cannot access the order and sorting data stored on your device. This data remains entirely on your phone or tablet and is never uploaded to any external server.
3. Google Play Subscriptions
SortingGo offers subscriptions through Google Play. Details are as follows:
- Payments are processed entirely by Google Play; neither this app nor the developer ever receives your credit card or bank account information.
- Neither this app nor the developer ever receives your Google account password.
- Your subscription status may be returned to the app by Google Play to determine whether corresponding features are unlocked — this is required for normal app functionality.
- Google Play's own privacy policy applies separately; please refer to Google's official documentation.
4. Permissions
SortingGo may request the following device permissions, used only when the corresponding feature is enabled:
- File access: used to import Excel (.xlsx) or CSV order data, and to export sorting results.
- Microphone: used for voice readout and voice command features (if enabled by the user).
- Bluetooth / media control: used for headset media-button control, allowing hands-free operation.
- Notifications: used to show status for the background media-button service (if applicable).
None of these permissions are used to collect personal data, and none are activated without your consent.
5. Data Sharing
This section applies to the SortingGo Android app. The SortingGo app does not sell, rent, or otherwise share user data with third parties. The SortingGo app itself does not run ads, use advertising tracking identifiers, or integrate any third-party analytics SDKs.
The SortingGo official website (used to introduce and link to this app for download) separately uses Google Analytics (GA4) for website traffic analysis — see "6. Website Analytics" below. Using Google Analytics on the website does not affect the existing data collection and handling practices of the SortingGo app or SortingGo Print Service.
6. Website Analytics (Google Analytics)
The SortingGo official website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to analyze website traffic and usage, helping us understand how visitors find and use this website — for example, traffic source, pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate region, and interactions with website features or outbound links (such as the Google Play download button). This analytics data is used to improve website content and user experience, and to evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns.
Google Analytics (GA4) applies only to browsing and traffic analysis of the SortingGo official website. The SortingGo Android App and SortingGo Print Service do not gain any GA4 website-tracking mechanism as a result of the website's use of Google Analytics, and their existing privacy policies and data handling practices remain unchanged.
Google Analytics (GA4) uses browser cookies and similar technologies to distinguish browsing sessions and analyze traffic in aggregate, statistical form. We do not use GA4 to collect your name, email address, phone number, home address, or any other information that directly identifies you personally.
On your first visit to this website, you can choose whether to allow analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner shown at the bottom of the page. You may change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. Declining analytics cookies does not restrict your ability to browse or use this website. Even if you decline, the Google Analytics script still loads, but it only sends aggregated, non-cookie-based signals that cannot identify you personally, in accordance with Google's official consent mode rules; no analytics cookies are set on your device.
Google may process and store the analytics data described above under its own privacy policy. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
If the SortingGo official website runs Google Ads campaigns, aggregated conversion data from the GA4 analytics events described above (such as whether a visitor clicked the Google Play download link) may be exported to Google Ads via the official Google Analytics-Google Ads account link, to evaluate advertising performance. This does not involve setting any new cookies or sharing personally identifiable information.
7. Newsletter Subscription
The newsletter is separate from the app. The app itself still collects no email address; the following applies only if you choose to subscribe to product updates on this website.
What we collect: your email address, the language you were reading the site in, how you subscribed, and the date you confirmed.
Why: to send you occasional product updates. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.
Double opt-in: after you submit the form we email you a confirmation link, and you are added to the list only once you click it. An address that is never confirmed is deleted within 24 hours.
Processor: newsletter delivery is handled by Resend (resend.com), which stores the subscriber list on our behalf.
Unsubscribing and your rights: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link and you can unsubscribe at any time. To ask what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, contact us using the details below.
8. Deleting Your Data
You can manage or remove your data in the following ways:
- Use the in-app data-clearing feature to delete locally stored order and sorting records.
- Uninstall SortingGo, which automatically removes all local app data stored on your device.
- To manage your subscription records, please use your Google Play account.

As SortingGo's features continue to evolve, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "last updated" date on this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically for the latest information.
