Run a print job from the Web console: choose a data format and label format, prepare data with generated test data, an Excel import, or manual entry, then preview and print directly or export a PDF.
Before you start
- Have a data format, label format, and at least one printer ready (a printer isn't needed if you're only exporting a PDF).
Steps
- Choose a data format
Decide which field structure this print job uses. - Prepare the data
Either "Generate Test Data", or "Import Excel" (choose a sheet, map columns, then load) — after loading, you can edit or fill in values directly in the editable table. - Choose label format and printer
Choose which label layout to apply and the target printer. - Preview
Confirm fields, barcode, QR code, image, and trial-mark placement; subtotal labels paginate automatically based on the detail table's capacity. - Print or export PDF
Click "Print" to send to the selected printer, or "Export PDF" to save an electronic copy.
Notes
- Excel parsing never stages files on the server, and never creates or affects lookup sources.
- Unmapped columns load as blank and can be filled in the table; required fields are checked before printing.
- For large row counts, print in batches; jobs for the same printer queue up, so avoid repeatedly clicking Print to prevent duplicate labels.
Limitations
- Excel/CSV files are capped at 10 MB, with limits on row count, column count, and cell length; cells containing formulas are rejected.
- PDF export requires Microsoft Edge to be launchable by the service — if it fails, confirm Edge is installed and check the service log.
- Without a PRO/ENT license, output carries a trial and SortingGo mark (see the License page).
