WMS
Choose where the stock ledger lives: the built-in WMS (default) or an external Odoo; open the book, switch modes and see the books.
Before you start
Supervisors and administrators can view; only administrators open the book, switch modes and change settings. Before opening, every task, batch and unfinished posting command must be closed.
Steps
1. Download the opening template and fill in warehouse, bin, product, lot, expiry and quantity; or bring in the balances of a closed book.
2. Upload the file and check the preview: every row with an error is listed, and the book opens only when all rows are correct.
3. To change modes, type the confirmation text under Switch mode; the current book is closed and kept, and the new mode opens a new book.
Verify the result
Once the book is open, products, bins, receipts, transfers, counts, outbound reservations and reports use it; until then DistributionGo works exactly as before.
Notes and examples
Example: when switching from the external mode back to built-in, the last built-in book's closing snapshot can be the opening; on-hand quantities come in, reservations do not.
