Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-23
1. Acceptance
Welcome to DistributionGo ("DG"). Please read these Terms of Use before you download, install or use DG. By using DG you agree to all of these terms; if you do not agree, do not use DG.
2. What DG is
DG is a web system for warehouse distribution: order import and entry, reading ERP orders, batching, allocation, dispatch, work progress, release, boards and reports. It works with the SortingGo App, in which your team carries out the picking and sorting. DG is a tool to support your operations; you remain responsible for checking that shipments are correct.
3. Free use and distribution
DG is currently free, in one edition, with every feature available to every installation. You may install, run and use DG on computers, servers and internal environments that you lawfully manage or are authorised to use.
You may engage an IT service provider, system integrator or consultant (a "contractor") to install, configure and maintain DG and to train your staff. A contractor may bring a DG installer obtained from an official channel to install it only for the customer that engaged them, and may charge for their services. Contractors must follow these terms; they gain no right to distribute, resell or sublicense DG's own software, and may not claim that they license or sell DG or that they are an official partner, reseller or agent.
Unless otherwise authorised in writing, or permitted by a third-party open source licence, no one may:
- offer the DG installer for public download, or give it to anyone outside an engagement as described above;
- repackage, preinstall for resale, rent, or distribute DG's own software as a standalone product;
- offer DG's own software as a commercial hosted or SaaS service;
- remove or alter the copyright, trademark or licence notices in DG's own content;
- falsely claim to be DG's original developer or an officially authorised agent.
This section does not limit your statutory rights or replace the licences of third-party components included with DG. The developer may change how DG is offered in future; any change will be announced on this website in advance, and installed versions remain under the terms that applied when they were installed.
4. Self-hosting responsibilities
You install DG on your own computer or server; the developer does not currently offer a hosted service. You understand and agree that:
- you are responsible for installing, maintaining, backing up, updating and securing the server, operating system, network and database;
- if you expose DG outside your network you must secure it yourself; we recommend using it only on your internal network;
- you keep administrator credentials safe and promptly disable the accounts and devices of people who leave;
- you decide whether to install new DG versions, and back up before updating.
5. Your data
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the orders, items and quantities you import or enter.
- You must check that allocations, work reports and actual shipments agree; "completed in the app" in DG does not mean shipped.
- If you process personal data such as recipients' or employees' details in DG, you must comply with applicable data protection law.
- Shipping problems caused by data errors, operating mistakes or other factors on your side are your responsibility.
6. SortingGo App and third-party systems
- The SortingGo App needs a Standard plan or higher to connect to DG. App subscriptions, payment and refunds follow SortingGo's terms and the rules of Google Play or the App Store.
- Third-party software and services such as Odoo, PostgreSQL and Caddy are governed by their own licences and terms. Third-party components used by or shipped with DG are listed on the Third-Party Licenses page, and full licence texts ship with the installer.
- DG's Odoo module (distributiongo_connector) is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 (LGPL-3); its source code and full licence text are at github.com/eltonwangpx-wq/distributiongo-odoo. You may use, modify and distribute it under the LGPL-3.
- The DG–Odoo integration is supported only on the versions and settings listed in DG's documentation; check results written back to Odoo in Odoo.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- reverse engineer or disassemble DG's own software or try to obtain its unpublished source code, except where applicable law expressly allows it;
- copy, distribute or reproduce DG's own software without authorisation (other than the installation, contracted installation and backups allowed in section 3);
- build an imitation commercial product or service based on DG;
- interfere in any way with the normal operation of DG, the SortingGo App or this website.
This section applies only to DG's own software. Third-party components included with DG are used under their own licences, and your rights under those licences, including open source licences, are not limited by this section.
The restrictions on modification, reverse engineering and redistribution in section 3 and this section do not apply to DG's Odoo module. It is licensed under the LGPL-3, and your rights under the LGPL-3 are not limited by these terms (see section 6).
8. Support
The developer provides support through distributiongoservice@gmail.com and the official documentation and will do its best to reply, but does not guarantee response times or outcomes. Free DG does not include a service level agreement (SLA), on-site installation or managed operation.
9. Disclaimer
DG is provided "as is". The developer does not guarantee that DG is error-free, will stay compatible with every operating system, browser or third-party system, or will prevent all operating, data or shipping errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect loss, data loss or loss of business arising from the use of, or inability to use, DG.
10. Changes
The developer may change DG's features, how it is offered and these terms as the product develops. Significant changes will be announced on this website with an updated date; please check these terms from time to time.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Any dispute arising from the use of DG or these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If litigation is needed, and unless applicable law mandatorily provides otherwise, the parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court has jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
This does not exclude any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection or other laws where you are located.
