Privacy Policy

Introduction
Thank you for using DistributionGo ("DG"). This Privacy Policy explains how the DG software and the DG website handle data. Please read it carefully; by continuing to use DG or this website you agree to it.
1. DG is self-hosted software
DG is a warehouse distribution management system that you (or your organisation) install on your own computer or server and use in a browser on your own network. The developer does not currently offer DG as a hosted cloud service, and the DG software does not collect, transmit or store your data on the developer's servers.
2. You control the data in DG
Everything DG produces is stored on your own server and database, including:
- sign-in accounts, roles and permissions, plus hashed passwords and two-step verification settings
- workers, device pairings and sign-in records
- imported or created orders, items and quantities, including any recipient names, phone numbers or addresses in those orders
- batches, allocations, dispatches, work reports, releases and print records
- system settings and activity records
The developer cannot access the data on your server. Under applicable data protection law, you (or your organisation) control this data and decide what is collected, how long it is kept, who can access it and how it is backed up, and you are responsible for the security of your server and network.
3. What DG connects to
DG only connects to systems you configure:
- Odoo: if you use Odoo as an order source, DG reads orders and writes work results back as you configure. Odoo (including hosted services such as Odoo.sh) has its own privacy policy.
- SortingGo App: your team's phones and tablets connect to DG over your network to download work and report results. The SortingGo App has its own privacy policy.
- SortingGo Print Service: if you set up printing, DG sends the label data to the print service host you specify.
You set the addresses and accounts for these connections; the data does not pass through the developer's servers.
4. Online help and content updates
DG's built-in help works without an internet connection. If online help updates are enabled, DG reads public help files from this website. These requests carry no sign-in credentials and no orders, accounts or other business data; as with any web request, this website's host still receives the requesting IP address and browser details.
5. Problem reports and feature ideas
Report a problem and Suggest a feature in DG's help panel only create an email draft on your device, containing the DG version, help content version, current page, interface language and browser details. You see and can edit the draft first, and we receive it only if you send it. Please do not include order contents, customer data, passwords or keys. We use emails we receive only to reply and improve the product.
6. SortingGo App subscriptions
DG is free. The SortingGo App needs a Standard plan or higher to connect to DG; subscriptions, payment and refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under SortingGo's privacy policy and terms. DG never receives your payment details.
7. Website analytics (Google Analytics)
The DG website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic and usage, such as where visits come from, pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate region, and clicks on buttons and outbound links (for example to the SortingGo plans page or Google Play). We use this to improve the site and measure our promotion.
GA4 uses browser cookies and similar technology to recognise browsing sessions and analyses them in aggregate. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address or other directly identifying information through GA4.
On your first visit, the cookie banner lets you choose whether to allow analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time with Cookie Preferences in the footer. The site works normally if you decline; the GA4 script still loads but, under Google's consent mode, sends only cookieless, non-identifying aggregate signals.
This website shares one analytics property and one cookie preference with the SortingGo website, to see how visitors move from the DG site to the SortingGo site. GA4 is used only on the websites; it adds no tracking to the DG software or the SortingGo App. Google processes analytics data under its privacy policy.
8. Hosting and embedded content
This website is served through Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses, browser details and request logs to deliver and secure the service, under its own privacy policy.
This website embeds YouTube videos. Pages load only the video thumbnail from YouTube; the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com after you press play, and Google then processes the related data under its privacy policy.
9. Deleting data
- Data in DG: disable or delete it in DG, or manage the database and backups on your server. Uninstalling DG does not necessarily delete the database or backups; handle them under your own retention policy.
- Emails you sent us: email us to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.
- Analytics cookies: clear them in your browser or withdraw consent with Cookie Preferences.

11. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as DG and this website change. For significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and any new feature that sends data outside your network will be covered here before it is switched on. Please check this page from time to time.
