Create and manage Web console accounts. Roles are Admin and regular User (print/query); admins can manage users, API Keys, licensing, and other high-risk settings.
Before you start
- Requires an administrator account.
Steps
- Add a user
Enter a username, a password (at least 8 characters), choose a role, then click "Add User". - Maintain accounts
Delete accounts for staff who have left or no longer need access, to avoid stale accounts becoming a security risk.
Notes
- Use a regular-user account for day-to-day printing and queries, and reserve the admin account for managing API Keys, users, and data cleanup.
- The default install credentials (admin / sortinggo) are public information — change the password right away.
Limitations
- Account creation most often fails because the username already exists, or the password is under 8 characters.
