Import Orders

Import Orders lets you choose an Excel or CSV file, apply the SortingGo standard format or a custom format, and create order data after validation.

Before you start

  • Prepare an .xlsx or .csv file.
  • Make sure the file has at least product name and quantity; a full set of fields also supports customer, specification, unit, and notes.

Steps

  1. Choose an import format
Use the SortingGo standard format directly for standard files. If your column names are different, create a custom import format first.
  2. Choose a source and file
Pick a file from local storage or a configured remote source. After import, the source file is kept, deleted, or backed up based on your settings.
  3. Check the validation result
The app shows the number of successful, failed, and skipped rows. Fix any required-field errors before importing for real.

Notes

  • A custom format can handle different worksheets, header rows, field mappings, and filter conditions.
  • Order files may include an optional storage_location column, placed just before the product name. Available on every plan, including Free.

Limitations

  • Available fields and import limits can differ between the Free, Lite, Standard, and Pro plans — check the Subscription Plans screen and on-screen prompts for the current limits.
