Allocation is used to divide the order quantities in a batch across downstream processing, which suits situations where you need to plan quantities first.
Steps
- Check items to allocate
Confirm the required quantity for each product or order row. - Complete the allocation
Enter or confirm the allocation result as prompted on the screen. - Move to the next step
Once allocation is done, go back to Batch Details to enter Staging or sorting.
Notes
- This workflow works well when you want to split up the workload before starting the actual putting or picking.
Limitations
- A completed batch usually cannot be re-allocated.
