Reassignment and exception handover

Reassignment and exception handover

An authorized supervisor can reassign unreported work after absence, phone failure or a stall. Reconcile physical goods and unsynchronized results before handover.

Stop the old work first

Contact the old worker to determine picked and synchronized lines. Synchronize and check received results if possible. If the phone failed, record unsynchronized physical quantities for supervisor decisions so the successor does not pick twice. Lease expiry only flags a stall; it never reassigns automatically.

Create the successor assignment

1. Verify the active assignment in Dispatch or task details.

2. Select an App-authorized worker and reassign.

3. Confirm the new reference/generation; unreported lines transfer and completed lines remain context.

4. The new worker downloads in My Work and checks quantities/completion before starting.

5. Stop the old copy and revoke any lost device separately.

When old reports are rejected

Superseded lines no longer accept old-assignment reports. Check generation; do not keep resending or relabel old report identifiers as new work. Supervisors resolve physical work not yet synchronized.

Limits

Reassignment transfers active unreported lines, preserves completed results, and does not unlock allocation or handle already released shipments. Missing actions may reflect permission/state. Completed or superseded assignments are not active reassignment targets.

Does going offline or lease expiry automatically reassign work?

No. It only flags expiry/stalling. Supervisors reconcile physical and unsynchronized work before deciding to reassign.

Should the old phone keep resending rejected reports after recovery?

No. Check whether reassignment made its generation obsolete. Superseded lines reject old reports; supervisors resolve goods and sync discrepancies.
