Getting started with DistributionGo
DistributionGo provides dispatch, live progress and warehouse dashboards, with SortingGo App handling field work. DG Web is free. App connectivity requires SortingGo App 2.0.0 or later and Standard or higher.
Download and install the DG host / DG Web
The DG Web browser client needs no separate app, but an installed, running DG host is required. For first-time setup, download the Classic installer. If your company already has a host, obtain its Web URL and your personal DG account from the administrator. Classic 2.0.0 is publicly released.
On the official Get DG page, choose Download DistributionGo for free, then open Releases in the public GitHub repository below and download DistributionGo-Classic-Setup.exe. Normal installation needs only this EXE, not test scripts. Verify the matching SHA256SUMS.txt, run it on the host and approve the Windows administrator prompt. Choose Full for a single-machine setup; leave Odoo connector unchecked unless local Odoo 19 already exists. Select the local IP / hostname and allowed sources, review the summary and install. Open DistributionGo Web from the desktop or Start menu, configure certificate trust as needed, then sign in with the new-install admin / distributiongo account and change the password. Warehouse 0000 / default includes admin, so order import can begin. Upgrades and reattachment preserve existing credentials.

Prepare accounts, warehouses and connectivity
An administrator prepares the host, DG accounts, roles and warehouse access. Supervisors manage orders and release; workers use the App; board accounts drive wall displays. Verify each target account's visible scope before the demonstration.
Choose an order source
Import files or manually create DG's own orders without Odoo. Odoo is optional: self-hosted Odoo 19 Community needs the DG module and one-step delivery. Odoo.sh remains under verification; Odoo Online is unsupported. Have an administrator configure sources.
Complete a first workflow
1. Create a synthetic Store A order for 40 of Product A.
2. Build a batch, allocate 30, and dispatch to a connected App worker.
3. Download in My Work and synchronize an actual quantity of 25.
4. The supervisor checks shortage, review and remainder handling, then releases; contact an administrator for REQUIRED lines.
5. Verify command APPLIED and release SHIPPED, then check printing separately.
Welcome to DistributionGo
The welcome guide opens on your first sign-in to this DG site. Reading preferences are saved per browser and account; another browser or clearing site data may show it again.
Reopen getting started
This guide explains the work. Reading it or opening a page does not complete any operation. Reopen it from the Help Center at any time.
1. Pair SortingGo: Open the pairing QR code in Settings. Scan it with SortingGo and follow the App connection and sign-in steps. Prepare an active account; ask an administrator if you lack settings access.
2. Import orders: Choose an order file and a suitable template or format. Check the preview and validation before importing. Fix errors before retrying to avoid duplicate imports.
3. Review DG orders: Check customers, products, quantities and warehouses. For long product names, set short names before selecting orders for a batch.
4. Set product short names (optional): Use short names for SortingGo display and speech when names are too long. Skip if unnecessary. Set them before creating a batch.
5. Create, allocate and dispatch a batch: Select ready orders in DG orders to create a batch. Then review available quantities and allocation, and assign a worker. Allocation locks for the entire batch once any line has been dispatched.
6. App work and live progress: Workers download and report work from My work in SortingGo. Follow progress using Overview, Orders, Workers, Dispatch or the TV wall.
Check reserved quantities in the Odoo order pool, then create batches and dispatch using the existing flow. Odoo is optional; reserved quantities are not reallocated in DG.
If the first workflow stalls
For missing pages, check role, warehouse and source. For App connectivity, check version, plan and host address. If the App is done but DG has no report, resolve synchronization. For UNKNOWN posting, check receipts; do not recreate orders or ship again.
Is Odoo mandatory?
No. File/manual DG orders support dispatch and release without Odoo; it is an optional ERP source.
Can an existing SortingGo App connect directly?
It needs version 2.0.0 or later and Standard or higher, plus a DG worker account, correct host address and working network.
