Full workflow: DG orders from import to shipment
Import or manually create DG orders, then batch, allocate, dispatch, receive App reports and release shipment as a supervisor. Odoo is unnecessary. Each stage has its own confirmation.
Prepare orders and a batch
Preview imports, checking valid/error lines and warehouse; only valid lines become orders. Alternatively create and save manually. Select pending DG orders, check mode, due time and name, then create a batch using the returned reference.
Allocate and dispatch
Enter supply in Batches and allocation and allocate; save manual edits separately. Store A retains ordered 40 and allocated 30. Dispatch to a connected worker. Any previous line dispatch locks the whole batch; zero-allocation lines are not dispatched.
Complete field work and synchronize
Download new work in My Work. Allocation is read-only, local orders cannot be added, and short picks are allowed. If actually picked 25, report 25 and check synchronization; DG task details should show 25. App completion or local success alone does not prove receipt by DG.
Review and release
The supervisor checks ordered 40, allocated 30, actual 25 and the physical shortage. REQUIRED blocks release and currently has no clearing button; contact an administrator. Once eligible, release and verify APPLIED/SHIPPED. Native DG release does not automatically create a new order for the remainder.
Printing and day-end checks
Confirmed posting creates a separate print job. Resolve printing failures without releasing again. Dispatch, overview and reports track work; snapshots may lag. Keep the original task/command for unknown results and verify before recreating anything.
Will the missing 15 automatically become a new DG order?
No. Native release records actual shipment but creates neither an Odoo backorder nor a new DG remainder order. Supervisors decide follow-up demand.
How do I know the App's results reached DG?
Check actual line quantities, task state and the current assignment generation in task details, not just the App completion screen.
