Warehouses

Add, rename, activate or deactivate warehouses and set their location mappings and members.

Before you start

Viewing warehouses requires the corresponding permission; creating, editing, membership and location maintenance require warehouse management permission.

Steps

1. Enter a code and a name to create a warehouse; the code cannot change later.

2. Choose a warehouse to rename, activate or deactivate it, and add location mappings and members.

3. After changing mappings, run "Check only" and then "Recalculate" for task warehouses.

Verify the result

A new warehouse appears in the warehouse lists of order import and DG orders; members see its work after signing in.

Notes and examples

The mapping for DG's own orders is automatic and cannot be removed; map Odoo locations as stock.location:<ID>.

Yes. The recipient must be an active user with SortingGo App work permission. Membership in that warehouse is not required. The App only shows work assigned to that user.

Membership scopes the Web operator’s orders, batches, tasks, import history, dashboards and reports. Related edits, dispatch and release also check the operator’s permissions and scope. These checks differ from recipient eligibility.

Limitations

A warehouse with unshipped orders or open tasks cannot be deactivated; a location cannot overlap another warehouse above or below it.

Troubleshooting

If a warehouse is missing from a list, check it is active and the user is a member; if recalculation fails, complete or fix the mappings it names.
